I'm Matt. I trade futures, build tools, and run TradingDen — a small research-driven club for people who want to understand why a setup fires, not just copy a signal. I've been in the markets long enough to know that most "edges" sold online aren't edges at all. What I'm obsessed with is location — where price is in the auction, what the order flow is doing there, and whether the setup has confluence or is just a pattern someone named.
I started TradingDen in 2021 because I was tired of the noise. Every corner of retail trading looked the same: recycled indicators sold as proprietary, Discord servers with 10,000 members where no one actually traded, gurus selling courses instead of showing their own P&L. I wanted the opposite — a small room, real tools, real accountability, and a method you could learn from the inside out rather than copy from a screenshot.
Most trading education teaches you patterns. Most signal services teach you obedience. TradingDen is neither. The goal is to give you tools, models, and a room of serious traders so you can build a process you understand from the inside out — and keep using when the market changes.
My background is in systems and process work — I spend my day job thinking about reliability engineering and operations, which is probably why the tools and models I build for TradingDen look the way they do: structural, confluence-based, and built to be repeatable rather than chart-pattern magic. I started trading stocks, moved to futures because the leverage, liquidity, and session structure rewarded a location-driven approach, and landed on NQ and ES because that's where the auction is cleanest and the tools I was building had the most signal.
That's also why TradingDen is a small room rather than a large course. What I care about is whether the process actually works for the people running it — not how many members are on a landing page.
